Reviews

The 2013 edition of the successful crossover is expected to undergo many modifications. The changes won’t be visible at one glance but the underpinning and the cabin will definitely see some substantial updates.

Since last three years, the vehicle has been selling like hot cakes without any changes but the carmaker thinks that it is high time for its flagship crossover to receive updates.

Interior Changes

While the outlook of the vehicle has always been appreciated, there have been constant complaints about the crossover cabin and its sub-par material quality. For 2013, Enclave will not only get some of the latest techno features, but the interior material quality will also be vastly improved.

Some speculated features that might get added in 2013 Buick Enclave are a new center stack, GM’s latest infotainment system Intellilink and a big LCD touch screen, which can be used to control the various features like OnStar, audio and Bluetooth.

Changes in the Outlook

As mentioned earlier, we might not see any visible changes in the vehicle but it will feature curvier sheet metal and much softer lines than the one we see in the current editions.

The waterfall grille is expected to get stretched farther across the vehicle’s face. The taillights will get thinner and longer. Another change would be seen in the form of the license plate getting shifted from the liftgate to the rear bumper.

Probable Power-train Changes

We do not have any confirmed information about power-train changes, but rumour has it that either a turbocharged 4 cylinder or a turbocharged V6 or both of them can join the line in 2013.

New Safety Airbag

Adding to all these will be a new safety airbag, which is already being called as revolutionary and is manufactured by none other than GM itself. The front center airbag, the first of its kind, will keep the driver at greater peace. The vehicle will effectively complement GM’s new crash avoidance system.

Some Standard Features

Some of the standard features expected to be seen in the upcoming 2013 Buick Enclave are listed below.

• Quad captain’s chair,

• Bluetooth connectivity,

• Cruise control,

• Stability Track,

• Premium suspension,

• Power rear lift gate,

• Remote keyless entry,

• Telescopic steering,

• Exclusive tuning and

• Stability control.

The pricing of the upgraded crossover is yet to be announced, but is expected to fall in mid $30,000 range, which will make it cheaper than other rivals like BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz ML.
